Speed
This plan is compatible with ADSL2+. ADSL is a technology which allows Internet data to be sent on existing copper telephone lines. ADSL2+ is the latest version which increases the speed of data transfer and is now available in some areas. It is only available to customers who live in ADSL2+ areas, have an ADSL2+ compatible modem and sign-up to an ADSL2+ compatible plan.
Speed is affected by many factors - how close your house is to the exchange or roadside cabinet, your internal house wiring, computer and modem capability, and your type of phone line and its condition. Short term issues can be caused by the number of people browsing in your house and area, and the types of websites you're visiting. Find out about other factors affecting speed
